This homemade chocolate sauce is delicious drizzled over just about any dessert you can think of. It stores in an air tight container in your refrigerator for 2 months or so, but trust me – it won’t last that long!
- 1c Thrive Chocolate Drink Mix
- 1/2c Thrive Brownie Mix
- 1c Water
- 2c Thrive White Sugar
- 1/8t Thrive Salt
- 1/4t Vanilla Extract
In a medium sized saucepan, combine chocolate drink mix, brownie mix and water. Heat and stir until the powder has dissolved, then add the sugar. Continue heating and stirring until the mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat, add the salt and vanilla, continue stirring until the sauce begins to cool. Pour into a clean glass jar.

I tried the chocolate sauce and followed the directions to the T but after it cooled it had a lot of sugar crystals. Did I do something wrong????

Hi Colette – I have not had that happen! The only thing I can think of is that crystals might form if you put the lid on the jar before it had cooled completely – excess condensation could make the sugar recrystallize.
